In the context of the upcoming World Championship we release several episodes from an educational project – Go Lessons with Timofey Arsyonov.
We all know that Go is a game of controlling territory. Basic rules are as follows: the game begins with an empty board, then two players in turn place stones of their respective colors on it. One player has white and the other has black. The one who surrounds more territory wins. When completely surrounded, a stone or a group of stones are taken off the board. Essentially there is nothing complicated here, but is it as simple as it seems? Let’s hear what our instructor says about that.
