400 participants from 77 countries and national territories will take part in the Championship. Exhibition and congress area of Far Eastern Federal University campus was pre-selected as a venue of the event.
“It is necessary to provide anyone who wants with the opportunity to play in the areas that will function under the tournament, to participate in master classes. Championship should involve citizens of Primorsky region in the ancient strategic game Go”, emphasized Oleg Kozhemiako.
Thus, the question of conducting The 41st World Go Championship Cup in Vladivostok including both the participation of amateurs and the organization of a traditional match between participants and Far Eastern Go players in the format of simultaneous exhibition is currently under review.
