In this episode we talked with Vitaly Nesis, the CEO of gold-mining company Polymetal. The company has been a sponsor of the Russian Go Federation for years, and it also actively helps to spread and develop the game of Go throughout remote regions of Russia.
In the Nesis family, Chess was the traditional game to play. Yet still at an early age, Vitaly found another hobby. He was hooked on the game of Go from the very first Go problems he solved. He quickly realized that the pleasure was not in the outcome of Go, but in the process of the game itself. Since then, popularizing Go in Russia has become an important part of his life.
